This promotional video was created to highlight the role of the North Star Center, its faculty, students, and presence at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006. As producer, director, director of photography, camera operator, and editor I conducted numerous interviews and hired additional camera operators to assist in the production. Although I received Independent Studies credit, I was paid and worked with a reasonable budget.

I edited on Final Cut Pro and Live Type for the lower thirds.

This video project was a unique expereince for me. The client wanted animated photography mixed with audio interviews to highlight all facets of diversity at RIT and to honor President Simone’s efforts towards a truly diverse faculty and student body. As producer, director, director of photography, photographer, camera operator, editor, animator I held a lot of responsibiities. I directed photographers to capture needed photos as well as working to obtain stock photoraphy.

I conducted all of the interviews myself and utilized our Digital Audio Recorders to obtain high quality sound as well as hiring and working with an audio productions company to create the soundtrack.

I animated the entire project in Motion and the soundtrack in FCP.

I finished editing this promotional music video in 2008 after having shot (video and photography) several performances over the previous year. Zahyia, a vocalist and hip-hop artist, supplied additional photos and created an outline for the text she wanted to appear in the video.
I edited this video in Final Cut Pro and Live Type and added my own style and energy. The client was very happy with the video.
